While we miss the opportunity for ‘strength in numbers’ being at the state capitol together, we need to make up for it with an outpouring of grassroots advocacy calls from IPA members to legislators.  The profession’s three major issues at this time include:  Medicaid reimbursement, Medication Therapy Management, and Drug Product Selection. 

Right now we ask that you contact your Representative regarding Medication Therapy Management (support) and Drug Product Selection (oppose).  These two bills are moving through the House Chamber at this time. 

It is extremely important both your Representative and Senator hear from you on Medicaid Reimbursement.  The Medicaid Budget bill is just starting to take shape for Fiscal Year 2011 and it is critical legislators hear from you the impact the across the board cuts in 2010 are having on you, your pharmacy, and your service to your patients.
