This session explores the rapidly evolving landscape of pharmacy practice with a focus on three pivotal areas shaping the profession’s future. Participants will gain insight into the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in pharmacy operations, clinical decision support, medication safety, and patient engagement. The course will also examine the expanding role of pharmacists in Hospital at Home programs, emphasizing the unique challenges and opportunities in delivering acute-level pharmacy services outside traditional hospital settings. Finally, the session will provide an update on the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) initiatives, with a particular focus on the Uniform Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (UPJE)—a key component of licensure and regulatory compliance for pharmacists across jurisdictions.
