Providing Whole-Person Care for People Living with Dementia (0.1 CEU/1Hr)

Established in partnership with Iowa’s regional pharmacy associations, each IPA Goes Local offers an educational program and allows IPA members to connect at the local level.

Through a virtual reality simulation, participants of this program will experience aspects of living with dementia from the perspective of patients and their caregivers. Explore the pharmacy team’s role in providing person-centered care that considers cultural, structural, medication-related, and disease-related factors to 1) meet the unique needs of each patient and their caregivers, and 2) address disparities in care for people with dementia.
