Legislative Priorities
View/Download IPA’s 2024 Legislative Priorities (member login required)
Each fall, the IPA Board of Trustees approves the association’s priorities for the upcoming legislative session. These priorities dictate how the association will deploy its advocacy resources in the legislature, executive branch and regulatory agencies.
IPA’s Legislative Advisory Committee considers feedback from members, guidance from IPA’s legislative counsel, and opportunities to advance practice to propose priorities to the IPA Board. These priorities reflect critical practice or public health issues, feedback from members, practice advancement opportunities in Iowa, and opportunities to collaborate with other health care organizations.
Members are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these priorities and incorporate them into conversations as they engage with their legislators.
