To strengthen IPA’s relationship with our business partner members, IPA is now offering a Platinum Business Partner package for independent pharmacies, health systems, hospitals, pharmacy chains and other pharmacies. This package is designed to meet the professional needs of pharmacies that are working to elevate the level of care that they provide to their patients. IPA is working on behalf of all business partners in Iowa and we need your pharmacy's support.
This level of membership is tailored for pharmacies engaged or interested in advanced practice opportunities including, but not limited to: New Practice Model; CPESN or other value-based networks; technician product verification (tech-check-tech); Collaborative Practice Agreements; ambulatory care practice and billing; State Innovation Model; Hospital Improvement Innovation Network; and essential public health initiatives.

benefits: Advocacy for the profession of pharmacy, including Medicaid, pharmacy payment and practice advancement; publications including the TOP 5 e-newsletter, Journal of IPA and the Iowa Pharmacy Law & Information Manual; and practice resources.
Technician Product Verification (TPV) toolkit: This toolkit includes: six essential training modules that fulfill requirements by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy and templates for initial proposal to the Iowa Board of Pharmacy to implement TPV; guidance for quality improvement reporting and data collection; implementation timelines for pharmacists, technicians, and management.
Technician Product Verification (TPV) certificate training: This certificate training program will meet the requirements of the Iowa board of pharmacy for tech-check-tech/technician product verification programs. Platinum Business Partners will receive a significant discount on this CEI certificate training program. Pricing TBD; as certificate program will launch in 2019.
Site Visit: Onsite consultation will be offered upon request to help assess readiness for practice change, as well as provide assistance in developing an individualized site plan for implementing advanced services.
Ambulatory Care Practice & Billing Resources: IPA is developing resources for ambulatory care services and will provide assistance as your pharmacy looks for new mechanisms to bill for pharmacist-provided services.
Health System Compliance Checklist: With ongoing regulatory changes and updates, a checklist has been developed to provide your health-system practice a thorough review of areas within your practice to ensure that you comply with federal and state regulations.
Virtual Meeting Access: In order to engage pharmacists and technicians that are not able to attend live meetings, IPA provides access to recorded programming at Midwest Pharmacy Expo and IPA’s Legislative Day. This benefit offers CPE credit opportunities for 2 participants per location; and unlimited viewing access.
Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) templates: IPA has created a series of templates to assist you in creating CPA’s with providers in your community or health system.
Resources for Practice Development: This membership grants access to the IPA team, a PBP-Members-Only page on the IPA website, innovative practitioners across the state, webinars, resources and tools to advance your practice.
Professional Communications: Pharmacist staff at IPA will contact each PBP at least quarterly to provide proactive insight and information related to new resources and opportunities in the state.
