Obtaining CPE

IPA Members: The podcast is included as part of your free CPE library you receive as a member. If you have redeemed your library, the activities will automatically appear in your library when available. If you have not redeemed your current library, follow these instructions to do so (member login required).

Non-IPA Members: The CPE activity bundle may be purchased from the Collaborative Education Institute (Pharmacists | Pharmacy Technicians). The bundle includes all six episodes of the podcast to be published in 2017.
 

Activity Description

BOP: What, Why & How is a podcast hosted by IPA’s Anthony Pudlo with Board of Pharmacy staff, Andrew Funk and Jennifer O’Toole following each Board of Pharmacy (BOP) meeting. Each episode will focus on WHAT actions were taken by the Board of Pharmacy, WHY the BOP took the actions it did, and HOW BOP action will impact the practice of pharmacy in Iowa.
 

Learning Objective

At the completion of this knowledge-based activity, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will be able to:
  • Describe 1-2 current regulatory actions taken by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy and their impact on pharmacy practice in Iowa.

Activity Fee

This activity is available at no cost for pharmacist and pharmacy technician members of Iowa Pharmacy Association. A $20 fee will be charged to non-member pharmacists and pharmacy technicians for access to all six of the 2017 podcast CPE activities.
 

Dates & Location

Podcast episodes are posted to IPA’s website (www.iarx.org) within 24-48 hours of an open session meeting of the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.

ACPEThe Collaborative Education Institute is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Following completion of the online activity exam and evaluation (accessible at www.GoToCEI.org via a CPE Access Code following the activity), participants will be able to access their CPE Statement of Credit on CPE Monitor, www.MyCPEMonitor.net.  No partial credit will be given for this activity.
