Ride with IPAF | Support the Team

Each July, the Des Moines Register holds the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) and the IPA Foundation will sponsor its sixth team for the week-long trek across the state of Iowa.

As ambassadors for the association and our profession, the IPA Foundation RAGBRAI team connects with Iowa pharmacists and pharmacies along the route, serves fellow riders with first aid and OTC treatments, and educates Iowans on the important role of pharmacy.

Any Iowa pharmacist, pharmacy technician or student pharmacist is welcome to join this weeklong adventure on two wheels, spreading the word about pharmacy from river to river. For a taste of what the week holds, read our 2018 RAGBRAI recap

Ride with IPAF

The team will be limited to 20 full week riders, plus up to 10 daily riders each day. A wait list will be used for additional interested riders. The team will be divided into groups, supported by a captain who will have a list of pharmacies for their group to visit each day.

Registration for full week riders is now closed. You can still join the team as a daily rider for up to three days.

Expectations
The IPA Foundation RAGBRAI team is a professional team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists with a primary objective of representing the pharmacy profession across the state. The team uses this unique opportunity to display the expertise, accessibility and patient care provided by pharmacy professionals while displaying IPA’s values of collaboration, advocacy, innovation, education, engagement, leadership, and positive patient outcomes in all we do.

If you are choosing to ride RAGBRAI for other reasons, this may not be the team for you. Unprofessional behavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate expulsion from the team.
