IPA Welcomes Matthew Glasow as 2017 Executive Intern

Matthew Glasow, a student pharmacist from Drake University, is the association's 2017 Max W. Eggleston Executive Intern in Association Management.

The Iowa Pharmacy Association would like to welcome Matthew Glasow, a student pharmacist from Drake University, as the association's 2017 Max W. Eggleston Executive Intern in Association Management.

Glasow is originally from Maple Grove, Minn., and currently completing his second year of pharmacy school pursuing his MBA at Drake. He has been involved with several pharmacy organizations including APhA-ASP and the Central Iowa Pharmacy Association, and is a dedicated member of his social fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon. He has had the opportunity to work on a research project over the past year as well.

Glasow is employed at Walgreens and hopes to use that experience during the internship. Matt has a passion for improving the quality of care patients receive from their pharmacists and is looking forward to working with IPA to work towards this goal.

“I am eager to begin working with IPA and learning from the various members that make up such a vital organization for our profession,” Glasow states. “I have come to understand the importance of continually improving the work we do as pharmacists and I believe that IPA is a leader in making those improvements happen.”

The Max W. Eggleston Executive Internship in Association Management is a twelve-week program held each summer at IPA. Developed in 1978, the internship provides an educational experience in professional association management and broad exposure to the professional and educational issues confronting the profession of pharmacy. It is supported by the IPA Foundation.
