Celebrate Professional Achievements in Iowa Pharmacy at IPA Annual Meeting!

IPA’s Annual Meeting is the epicenter of pharmacy practice in Iowa. Each year, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and student pharmacists come together from across the state to discuss and set policy, share innovative ideas, and make meaningful connections with colleagues and pharmacy leaders. This June, plan to:
  • Take an active role in setting policy that will steer association action.
  • Hear and share innovative ideas to implement at your practice.
  • Build your network and connect with like-minded colleagues.
  • Find new opportunities for collaboration and practice advancement.
  • Recharge and leave invigorated to better serve your patients.

2023 Keynotes

THURSDAY
Pharmacy of the Future: Future is NowVipul Bhatt, PharmD, MBA, Deloitte Consulting
Although the pandemic increased opportunities for pharmacists to provide expanded services and care, the pharmacy profession remains poorly integrated with existing business and health care models. If more pharmacists were to operate to the full potential of their professional education and skill sets, pharmacy could play an important role in elevating patient care and public health. During this session, learn about the industry trends both hindering and fueling innovation.

FRIDAY
Active Leadership, Liz Nead,
 Nead Inspiration
Liz Nead will share six powerful leadership strategies she learned while climbing 19,000 feet to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. As she witnessed and experienced the techniques the African and American climb guides used to get fourteen novice climbers safely to the top, she realized effective leadership is not a lone voice controlling the masses. Active Leadership is a humble approach, achieving stretch goals with planning, mentorship and a secret ingredient that truly transformed Liz’s way of thinking.
