Each year pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists come together from across the state to discuss policy, share innovative ideas, and make meaningful connections with colleagues and pharmacy leaders. This year, Annual Meeting will be held virtually through digital platforms. As always, plan to:

House of Delegates

During the 2020 Annual Meeting, IPA will host two House of Delegates sessions virtually. The House of Delegates is IPA’s policy-making body and is composed of members from across the state. The House will act on policy recommendations brought to it by standing committees and individual delegates. Policy committee reports will be posted soon.

Innovation & Research Forum

The 2020 Innovation & Research Forum took place on the original Annual Meeting date, June 18-19. As always, these forums showcased innovations from pharmacists and pharmacy residents across the state, driving practice transformation. Click here to access recordings of the event.

Poster Presentations

President’s Reception & Annual Banquet

Celebrate and socialize during a formal virtual happy hour as we install Diane Reist as the 142nd President of the Iowa Pharmacy Association and the 2020-2021 Board of Trustees. Outgoing Board of Trustees awards, 50-Year Pharmacist Anniversary awards, and the Bowl of Hygeia award will be also be presented.

Silent Auction

The IPA Foundation Silent Auction will be conducted virtually throughout the month prior to Annual Meeting. The silent auction will open virtually August 18 and end Friday, September 18. Winners will be announced at the end of the day Friday.

Continuing Education

Several Annual Meeting sessions are accredited for CPE for both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. In addition, two half-hour webinars covering policy topics to be discussed in the House of Delegates will be made available prior to Annual Meeting. CPE information and the webinars for 2020 will be available here soon.
