Fundraising Events

Throughout the year, the IPA Foundation host events that bring together pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists for fun and fundraising to support its initiatives.
 

 

The IPA Foundation Silent Auction is held each year at IPA Annual Meeting. Thanks to generous donations of creative auction items and equally generous and competitive bidders, the Foundation raises funds for initiatives to support student pharmacists and practice advancement across the state. In addition to bidding on auction items, the event also features the Red Envelope Challenge and wine ring toss. Needless to say, the IPA Foundation Silent Auction is a highlight of the Annual Meeting and the Foundation's fundraising efforts.
 

 

The Eggleston-Granberg Golf Classic is held each year in honor of Max Eggleston and Boyd and Peg Granberg for their commitment to supporting student pharmacists. The Golf Classic brings together student pharmacists, alumni, and friends for a fun-filled day at the golf course with a purpose. In addition to raising funds to support student pharmacists, it serves as a relaxed networking opportunity, especially for students. All proceeds benefit the IPA Foundation’s support of student pharmacists at Drake University and the University of Iowa.
 

Initiated in 2020 when gathering in person wasn’t an option, STEP, CYCLE, SWING for Student Scholarships is an IPA Foundation fundraiser that can be done from ANYWHERE! With a donation to the Foundation, participants receive a newly designed t-shirt to wear while getting active throughout the month of the event. Each social media post with the event hashtags is an entry in a drawing for a Visa gift card. During an additional one-day fundraising event, Step Up for Students, pharmacists are paired with student pharmacists in a step count competition. In addition to supporting student scholarships, we aim to see how far and how many physical activities these t-shirts can cover!
