To strengthen IPA’s relationship with our business partner members, IPA also offers a Platinum Business Partner package for independent pharmacies, health systems, hospitals, pharmacy chains and other pharmacies. This package is designed to meet the professional needs of pharmacies that are working to elevate the level of care that they provide to their patients. IPA is working on behalf of all business partners in Iowa and we need your pharmacy's support.
IPA’s newest level of membership is tailored for pharmacies engaged or interested in advanced practice opportunities including, but not limited to: CPESN or other value-based networks; technician product verification; Collaborative Practice Agreements; ambulatory care practice and billing; residency program growth or expansion; Hospital Improvement Innovation Network; and essential public health initiatives.

All Business Partner Member Benefits: Advocacy for the profession of pharmacy, including Medicaid, pharmacy payment and practice advancement; publications including the TOP 5 e-newsletter, Journal of IPA and the Iowa Pharmacy Law & Information Resource Center; and practice resources.
Technician Product Verification (TPV) Toolkit: This toolkit includes: a readiness assessment, implementation timeline/checklist, sample policy & procedures, sample notification to the Board of Pharmacy, sample data collection documentation, and additional discount to CEIipact’s TPV Certificate Course for Pharmacy Technicians.
Site Visit: Availability for up to two hours annually, upon request, for onsite consultation to help assess readiness for practice change, provide assistance in developing an individualized site plan for implementing advanced services, or presentations with site leadership.
Ambulatory Care Practice & Billing Resources: Access will be provided to online resources IPA is developing to provide assistance on billing mechanisms for pharmacist-provided services and other resources for ambulatory care services.
Pharmacy Practice Compliance Checklist: With ongoing regulatory changes and updates, pharmacies are provided a discounted rate to LicenseTrak’s tracking service. IPA also provides a checklist to give your practice setting a thorough review of areas to help you remain in compliance with federal and state regulations.
CEimpact Compliance Package: Platinum Business Partners are offered a discounted rate to this compliance catalog that offers over 10 different courses that are required for accreditations and licensing and more.
USP 800 Compliance: Required documents will be distributed to Platinum Business Partners.
Virtual Meeting Access: In order to engage pharmacists and technicians that are not able to attend live meetings, IPA provides access to recorded programming at PharmaCE Expo and additional opportunities as available. This benefit offers CPE credit opportunities for 2 participants per location; and unlimited viewing access.
Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) Templates: IPA has created a series of templates to assist you in creating CPAs with providers in your community or health system.
Resources for Practice Development: This membership grants access to the IPA team, a PBP-Members-Only page on the IPA website, innovative practitioners across the state, webinars, resources and tools to advance your practice.
Professional Communications: Pharmacist staff at IPA will contact each PBP at least quarterly to provide proactive insight and information related to new resources and opportunities in the state.
