IPA Welcomes Connor Dierks as 2016 Executive Intern

IPA welcomes Connor Dierks, a student pharmacist from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, as its 2016 executive intern.

The Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA) would like to welcome Connor Dierks, a student pharmacist from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, as the 2016 Max W. Eggleston Executive Intern in Association Management.

Dierks is completing his first year of pharmacy school following two years of undergraduate classes at the University of Iowa. He participated in his first IPA Legislative Day in January and is looking forward to working with IPA and meeting with members.

“I have come to respect all the incredible work that the IPA does and am so excited to soon be able to contribute more to this organization,” said Dierks.

In addition to his pharmacy coursework at the University of Iowa, Dierks is an active member of the American Pharmacist Association and the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy. He is also the president of a gymnastics club and competes with that team.

The Max W. Eggleston Executive Internship in Association Management is a twelve-week program held each summer at IPA. Developed in 1978, the internship provides an educational experience in professional association management and broad exposure to the professional and educational issues confronting the profession of pharmacy.
