Iowa Pharmacy Association to Rollout New Website and Database

The Iowa Pharmacy Association will roll out a new website and membership database in August 2014. The new website and database creates more value for IPA members through an improved user- experience and a new and integrated membership management system. This change came after hearing feedback from members that the current website was not user-friendly and the need for a database that would track individual records in a more succinct manner.

IPA staff interviewed three Association Management Software companies from across the United States. After multiple rounds of demonstrations, the decision was made to hire Timberlake Membership Software. Timberlake is based in Fairfax, Virginia. They are a company that prides itself on focusing how to best equip small-staffed association with efficient association management software and website content for their association. They have the ability to integrate all critical parts of a membership system:

• Membership
• Website
• Event registrations
• Financials
• Committees

Together these parts will provide a system that is user-friendly, personalized and efficient to IPA's membership. Upon log-in, users will have full access to their member profile, including all payment histories, charitable contributions, meeting attendance records, and committee/board terms. An additional perk will be the opportunity for members to have a direct link to The Collaborative Education Institute to access their CPE records and stay up to date on continuing education information.
