IPA Names Keaton Higgins as 2021 Executive Intern

IPA welcomes Keaton Higgins, ATC, as the association's 2021 Max W. Eggleston Executive Intern in Association Management!
The Iowa Pharmacy Association would like to welcome Keaton Higgins, ATC, as the association's 2021 Max W. Eggleston Executive Intern in Association Management. During his 12-week internship, Keaton will be actively involved in several association initiatives and events.
From Belmond, IA, Keaton is a second-year student pharmacist at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. He received his bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from the University of Northern Iowa. Currently, he holds leadership positions in several student organizations, including serving as CEO of the Healthcare Business Leadership program, Treasurer of the Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society chapter, Political Advocacy Chair for NCPA, and co-founder of the Industry Pharmacists Organization.
Keaton stated, “I hope to leverage my experience with IPA into helping others in the pharmacy profession expand their value that they can provide on their communities while practicing at the top of their education. I look forward to working towards this common goal with you all this summer!”
The Max W. Eggleston Executive Internship in Association Management is a twelve-week program held each summer at IPA. Developed in 1978, the internship provides an educational experience in professional association management and broad exposure to the professional and educational issues confronting the profession of pharmacy. It is supported by the IPA Foundation.
