At the next IPA event, you will see some new staff faces (and some new titles on the name tags of familiar staff members)! An overview of recent staff additions and new titles can be found below.

NEW FACES
In June, George Appleseth, PharmD, joined the team as IPA's 8th Executive Fellow in Association Management. George is a 2024 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and will be an asset to our team through June of 2025. 

At the end of August, Ryan McClellan, PharmD, SHIMSS, joined the IPA staff as Vice President of Professional Affairs. Ryan brings over 20 years of pharmacist experience, including clinical and industry experience in various medical affairs operations and field medical roles. An Iowa native, Ryan earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and completed a Specialty Residency in Primary Care at the Iowa City VA. 

IPA also added two new professional service contract positions to bring expertise to the association. Chayla Morris, PharmD, will serve as IPA's Ambulatory Care Advisor, leading the Ambulatory Care Work Group and Cardiovascular Health Grant initiative. Jen James, PharmD, will serve as the editor of our monthly Law & Information Resource Center (LIRC) newsletter, reviewing Iowa laws and regulatory bulletins for changes our members should be aware of. Chayla and Jen will provide these part-time, contract services remotely.
 
NEW TITLES & ROLES 
Laura Miller, IPA staff member of nearly 10 years, has been promoted to Vice President of Operations & Membership.  

Kellie Staiert, MPA, staff member since 2018, has been promoted to Director of Grants & Partnerships.  

In addition, Dawn Morse, staff member since 2017, has an updated title of Finance & Membership Associate.
