IPA Welcomes 2026 Summer Executive Intern Amanda Prins

IPA welcomes Amanda Prins, a 2028 PharmD candidate at Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, as the 2026 Max W. Eggleston Summer Executive Intern. As IPA's Executive Intern, Amanda will gain experience in all aspects of association work and a broad exposure to the issues impacting the profession.

The Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA) welcomes Amanda Prins, a 2028 PharmD candidate at Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, as the 2026 Max W. Eggleston Summer Executive Intern. As IPA's Executive Intern, Amanda will gain experience in all aspects of association work and a broad exposure to the issues impacting the profession.

Amanda Prins is a pharmacy intern at NewLeaf Specialty Pharmacy and a certified pharmacy technician. Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Biomedicine from the University of Northern Iowa and a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from Iowa State University. Prior to pharmacy school, Amanda spent nearly ten years in the laboratory testing and clinical trial space as an Immunotherapeutics Production Manager at NewLink Genetics and Technical Manager at Eurofins Scientific.

Amanda will work with the IPA staff through early August.

Started in 1978, the IPA Max W. Eggleston Summer Executive Internship Program is a twelve-week program held each year at IPA headquarters that provides student pharmacists with experience in professional association management.
