IPA Welcomes Lyndi McVey as Director of Pharmacy Practice & Innovation

The Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA) welcomes Lyndi McVey, PharmD, BCPS, as Director of Pharmacy Practice & Innovation. McVey starts on Monday, July 13, and will meet IPA leadership at the 2026 IPA Board Retreat on July 16-17.

A 2009 graduate of Drake University, Lyndi McVey, PharmD, BCPS, is an experienced pharmacist and leader with a diverse background spanning hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy, pharmacy management, and business ownership. As a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS), McVey brings clinical expertise and a commitment to evidence-based practice. Her work in hospital and community pharmacy has provided a strong foundation for understanding the complexities of healthcare delivery across multiple practice environments. In addition, McVey has successfully owned and operated a business, demonstrating entrepreneurial vision, strategic planning skills, and a dedication to serving her community. Her leadership roles within pharmacy have focused on team development, process improvement, patient safety, and driving organizational success.

McVey is passionate about fostering excellence in pharmacy practice, mentoring healthcare professionals, and improving outcomes for patients through collaborative, patient-centered care. We are eager to have her join the IPA staff!
