IPA Names Olivia Welter as its 2019 Executive Intern

IPA has named Olivia Welter, a student pharmacist from Drake University, as the association's 2019 Max W. Eggleston Executive Intern in Association Management.

The Iowa Pharmacy Association would like to welcome Olivia Welter, a student pharmacist from Drake University, as the association's 2019 Max W. Eggleston Executive Intern in Association Management. During her 12-week internship, Welter will be actively involved in several association initiatives and events, including IPA's 2019 Annual Meeting.

Welter is from Neenah, Wisconsin, and currently works at Medicap Pharmacy in Urbandale and is an intern at Broadlawns Outpatient Pharmacy. At Drake, she is involved in APhA-ASP and will soon begin a term as GenerationRx chair.

“I am eager to get to work with IPA to make sure the pharmacy profession continues to advance as needs change in the state of Iowa,” said Welter.

The Max W. Eggleston Executive Internship in Association Management is a twelve-week program held each summer at IPA. Developed in 1978, the internship provides an educational experience in professional association management and broad exposure to the professional and educational issues confronting the profession of pharmacy. It is supported by the IPA Foundation.
