Become a Peer Reviewer
IPA is currently looking to its membership to help advance The Journal of the Iowa Pharmacy Association to become a peer-reviewed journal. If you have an area of knowledge, please consider contributing your expertise and becoming a peer-reviewer.

- As a peer reviewer you will only be asked to peer-review up to two articles every 12 months.
- As peer reviewer, you will have 2 weeks to review an article.
- Online training via webcast is available for pharmacists interested in becoming reviewers.
- Not all journal content will be peer reviewed. Submitted articles, review articles, Therapy Update and In Print articles will be peer reviewed. (News articles, editorials, interviews will not be peer reviewed)
Step 1
Complete the survey to indicate your areas of expertise. Journal articles will be sent out to peer-reviewers based on areas of expertise indicated.
Step 2
Watch the training session below, which details how to peer-review journal articles. The webcast covers key points on how to review an article, including reviewer responsibilities and methods of review. Example peer-review comments will be analyzed to guide instruction.
